Periodontal Care

Are your gums bleeding?

If your gums are bleeding consistently, you shouldn't ignore it. It's a definite sign for you to make an appointment with your dentist. Gum disease is generally not curable but it is both treatable and more importantly, preventable. Periodontal disease can be prevented with:
Daily toothbrushing, flossing and mouth rinses.
Regular visits to the dentist/hygienist.

At My Dentist we suggest the following periodontal treatments and procedures to patients who have gum disease.

  • Scaling and root planning (deep cleaning)
  • Gum graft surgery
  • Gingivectomy (removes and reshapes infected gum tissue)
  • Osseous Surgery (periodontal pocket reduction)
